	Over the past twenty five years (yes, twenty five), EDDIE & THE BOPPERS have developed a reputation as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most consistently high quality and entertaining “oldies” rock ‘n roll bands.

		Since drummer Eddie Lanzarin organized the band in 1979, EDDIE & THE BOPPERS’ repertoire has consisted exclusively of rock’n roll from the Fifties and Sixties. All styles of oldies are played with equal facility: the early Elvis era rockers; rhythm and blues; 5 part vocal harmony “Doo Wop”; hard driving 60’s rock ‘n roll (both American and British Invasion); Motown soul; and, of course, a generous selection of sweet ballads to slow dance and squeeze your honey to.

	From the top hits everybody remembers, to the more obscure “gems”, EDDIE & THE BOPPERS cover more musical territory than any oldies band in Northern California. Featuring Eddie Lanzarin on drums, Ted Wilson on piano and organ, Rick LeCompte on saxophone, Gil Roman on bass and Norman Collins on guitar, all members additionally share lead and background vocal duties. Although they have played everything from Latin jazz to new wave rock, all the BOPPERS share an overriding passion for the “good old rock ‘n roll” on which they grew up. This love for the music they play shows in their performances, which are uniformly energetic and professional, and have won over audiences throughout Northern California.




EDDIE & THE BOPPERS have opened for rock ‘n roll legends THE COASTERS, MARY WELLS, JAN & DEAN, SHA NA NA and COLD BLOOD, as well as performing at the San Francisco premiere of the film “La Bamba”. They have played private parties and weddings at all of the major hotels and golf, tennis and yacht clubs in the Bay Area. In one of the longest running club engagements in San Francisco history, EDDIE & THE BOPPERS played Fridays at LILY’S at Embarcadero 4 from June of 1981 to November of 1987 when the nightclub closed.
